SureShot Takuya Aikawa, Japan

When the world of precision Japanese engineering meets the raw character of a Royal Enfield twin, the result is nothing short of a masterpiece. Takuya Aikawa, the mastermind behind the Chiba-based workshop SureShot, has long been a titan of the Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show. Known for his surgical attention to detail and performance-first philosophy, Aikawa recently turned his focus away from his usual American V-twins to create the “Samurai”—a radical reimagining of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. Commissioned directly by Royal Enfield, the Samurai is a “Compact Performance Chopper” that blurs the lines between a show bike and a legitimate drag strip contender.

Award-Winning Legacy: The bike debuted at the 2024 Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show, where it swept the competition, taking home Best Motorcycle (European) (despite its Indian-British roots), Michael Lichter’s Pick, and the Wheels & Waves’ Pick.
